The Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer is officially here. This time around, we get more plot, more characters, and a lot more Spider-Man.
In the trailer, we see brand-new interactions between Ned, MJ, and Peter. Our Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man has been keeping tabs on his friends while going through a mutation of his powers. He’s got organic web-shooters leaking through his wrist. This mutation was originally teased in the last Spider-Man movie when all three of the live-action Spideys were comparing their powers.
A Mystery Villain and a Trusting MJ
We also get to see more of the mystery character. Who is rumored to be played by Sadie Sink. Although we can’t actually see the actor’s face in the footage. Spider-Man is the only one who seems to be immune to this villain’s powers. This immunity leaves Spider-Man on a high-stakes mission to save his beloved MJ. When he goes to rescue her, she just automatically trusts him—bringing that same casual, effortless energy Zendaya is known for that we have all grown to love.
Spider-Man Faces Off Against The Hulk
Additionally, the trailer reveals that Spider-Man will be doing a little bit—or maybe a lot—of fighting with The Hulk. During one of their intense battles in the trailer, Spider-Man quips, “I didn’t know you could grow that big.”
This trailer really gets the adrenaline pumping, and knowing Marvel and Sony, this is probably just the tip of the iceberg.
