How to Rob a Bank Clip: Zoë Kravitz and John C. Reilly Are the Perfect Odd Couple

Zoë Kravitz and John C. Reilly dropping a perfect scene was not on my 2026 bingo card. But after watching the new clip from How to Rob a Bank, I want to see this movie more than ever.

I got my hands on the new How to Rob a Bank clip from Amazon MGM Studios. The scene runs on their two very different energies and one very strange line, and somehow it works.

First off, I love everything Zoë Kravitz does. If you’ve followed my career, you know she is my absolute favorite. In fact, I have like 10 pictures of us together, and no, I will not be sharing them. Let’s get back to the scene.

The Scene

In the clip, Kravitz plays Reagan Gardner, a brilliant software engineer, and Reilly plays Agent West, a veteran FBI agent. The title alone tells you this isn’t your typical cop and hacker meeting. Based on the official description, there’s a smell situation, and somebody insists it’s just incense.

Zoë is in the crib, knitting while under the influence, I assume.

She is giving her signature cool, unbothered energy. Reilly is giving what John C. Reilly always gives, which is a guy who is fully committed to whatever weird moment he’s in. Put them side by side and the chemistry comes from how little they match. The scene comes right before he gives Zoë’s character an offer she can’t refuse: help him find these streaming bank robbers.

What How to Rob a Bank Is About

How to Rob a Bank follows a crew of social media-savvy bank robbers who livestream their heists. The problem? Going viral gets you noticed, and not just by fans. Their online fame puts them on the radar of Agent West and Reagan, an unlikely duo who start piecing it all together.

It’s basically a heist movie for the content creator era. If you’ve ever thought somebody would post their crimes for clout, this movie took that idea and ran with it.

From the full-length trailer, the movie looks hilariously funny and worth seeing on opening weekend. Some movies you can see whenever, but others you need to see with a room full of people, and this is one of them.

The Cast Is Stacked

Nicholas Hoult leads the crew, with Pete Davidson, Anna Sawai and Rhenzy Feliz rounding out the robbers. Christian Slater plays the manager of the bank the crew sets its sights on. And yes, this is a Mad Max: Fury Road reunion for Hoult and Kravitz.

Behind the camera is David Leitch, the director behind Bullet Train, The Fall Guy, Deadpool 2 and Atomic Blonde. So you already know the action is going to look good, and the jokes are going to be a little unhinged.

When You Can Watch It

How to Rob a Bank hits theaters only on November 13. It was originally set for Labor Day weekend before moving to November. It’s rated R, so leave the kids at home.

The marketing team is having fun with it too. They set up a mystery ATM in Los Angeles that’s been handing out free cash to promote the movie. Honestly, that’s the most on-brand stunt of the year.

The Bottom Line

Zoë, Pete Davidson and Nicholas Hoult will provide enough eye candy and laughs for this to be worth the 20 bucks for the ticket. Plus Pete has a way of putting on fly streetwear pieces and keeping it very subtle. That’s a art. Go see this one on the big screen, but if you decide to wait for it to come to Prime Video, that works too.

Will How to Rob a Bank steal the box office in November? We’ll find out. But if the rest of the movie has the same weird energy as this clip, we’re buying a ticket.
