Pressure: The Untold Story of D-Day
The movie stars Brendan Fraser as General Dwight D. Eisenhower. The plot follows Eisenhower as he faces the agonizing decision to either launch the most dangerous mission in US history on the beaches of Normandy or risk losing the war entirely. In a recent interview with MovieGuide, Fraser shared his thoughts on portraying the iconic leader.
“[Eisenhower was] an excellent diplomat, excellent strategist,” Fraser explained. “We meet him on this fateful weekend with four stars on his epaulets. There’s a lot of history there for me, the actor, to try and digest.” The actor continued, “He had deep respect for the troops. And in turn, it is palpable that they did, too. So much so that respect almost became like a secret weapon of sorts.”
This powerful portrayal really makes audiences recognize the profound sacrifices that our soldiers made. It serves as a timely reminder of why we honor military history through our fashion. Think camo pants, flight jackets and more.

Furthermore, the movie highlights both the chaotic war front and the meticulous planning behind the scenes. Audiences will see this tense dynamic play out as Eisenhower and Captain James Stagg, played by Andrew Scott, try to figure out the right meteorlogical way forward.
Early critics are already raving about this film, calling it a gripping cinematic masterpiece. The intense trailer lets viewers know that this is filmmaking at its finest. Because planning the largest seaborne invasion in history is such a monumental task, the filmmakers had to ensure that the cameras did the story justice.
